Current Makeup Obsessions

Woo Wee… This week has been a whirlwind! Chandler and I got home from North Carolina Tuesday night (morning) around 1:30 am and got in bed around 3. We both had to be up early and back to reality.  Adulthood… joy! I took a trip to Sephora a week or so ago and picked up a few *new items. Some of these items I’ve had and they’ve recycled to the front of my makeup drawer and some are completely new to me.  You guys know makeup is one of my favorite topics so let’s talk about why I am totally loving these.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Foundation

Too Faced is one of the top US makeup brands. 9 out of 10 times when they release a product it’s going to exceed expectations. This brand is famous for their peach makeup line (everything literally smells like peach, it’s grand). As a girl with pretty oily skin I have to be picky when trying foundations because I need something that can last 10 + hours a day. When I heard a new matte foundation was released I had to see for myself. I’m going to compare it to my holy grail foundation, Urban Decay All Nighter, for a second. The coverage of the Too Faced Perfect Peach foundation is medium to full and can be built to your liking, which I like. The UD foundation is full coverage and completely matte. I will go ahead and say that I have yet to find a foundation that lasts as long as the UD All Nighter. I REALLY enjoy the Peach Perfect Foundation for days that I want something not not so heavy, but  beautiful finish.

Too Faced Ethereal Setting Powder

This post is not sponsored by Too Faced, promise. 🙂 I have been using the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder forever it seems and it is everyone’s holy grail. I’ve wanted to branch out and see what else was out there. This powder is not part of the peach line but it is new to Too Faced. This product is so fine and soft. It literally erases the pore from the face and makes the skin look soft and airbrushed. Oh, and no flash back. I’m in love!!

UD Naked Skin Shapeshifter

Why is this product not being talked about?!! This is something that should be hyped up!! I was looking for a new highlight and contour palette and I walked past this and did a little swatch and was sold. On one side there are powders and on the other sides it is the same colors in cream options. You can’t beat the price for the amount of product you get in this palette. The powders are so pigmented so be careful when applying, you don’t need much and the highlight in this palette is the PERFECT everyday highlight. I use this palette EVERY DAY!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in “Parrrty”

Blushes are one of those products that slip off your face within an hour of wear. I applaud Tarte for their blushes because they truly stay in place. I actually got this in my birthday gift from Sephora and have been wearing it non-stop. The color is the perfect flush of dusty pink to give the cheeks a little life without looking like a clown.

Loreal Infallible Metallic Eyeshadows

I love finding good drugstore makeup and L’Oreal is definitely at the top! A few months ago, they released this line of individual metallic eyeshadows. This specific shade is called “Rose Chrome” but I truly love all of them. You can wear these all over the lid, the center of the lid for dimension, or in the inner corner to brighten the eye look up. They apply best with your finger so keep that in mind.

UD Heavy Metal Glitter in “Midnight Cowboy”

These liquid glitters have been around for years and I go through phases of obsession and not so interested, and I’m back on the obsession train. These glitters are AMAZING! They are so easy to apply and have the perfect applicator to reach small or large surfaces. You can be precise or apply all over the lid. All of the shades are perfection but Mightnight Cowboy is the perfect gold glitter. With the holidays on their way, glitters will be in full effect.

Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in “Exorcism”

Dark lips and fall go hand in hand. Kat Von D has a beautiful formula for liquid lipsticks. It is a bit dry but I don’t know of a liquid lipstick formula that isn’t a bit dry. This has been my go to color lately because oxblood calls my name this time of year.

These are just a few of my current favorites. I try to keep you guys updated as my favorites change. I am working on our vlog from North Carolina but it will be a week or so before I finish it up. I have a LOT of makeup this weekend– homecoming and wedding! Woo hoo!! Hope you guys have an awesome weekend!!
