Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa Recap

Chandler and I had the pleasure of enjoying a stay at the Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa this past weekend. We arrived Friday afternoon and checked out Sunday morning. If you aren’t familiar with this resort, that’s probably because it’s brand spankin’ new. This resort opened 3 months ago and is the ultimate destination of relaxation. It’s located on Jensen Beach on Hutchinson Island. This island is right off of the east coast of Florida– secluded and beautiful. Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa is the Treasure Coast of Florida’s new premier resort for family vacations, meetings, corporate retreats, oceanfront weddings, and spa getaways. If you follow me on Instagram (@tannermmann) I’m sure you saw the beauty and comfort that this resort has to offer. A phenomenal dining area (Drift Kitchen & Bar–we’ll talk about that in a moment), 2 outdoor pools, 2 outdoors bars, a hot tub, private balconies, fire pits, and everything else you need for a romantic and relaxing stay. Let’s talk about this weekend…

As you walk through the front doors, you’ll notice the amount of detail that went into the decorative science of this new resort. There is a theme of modern chic beach. Keeping with the theme, you will notice a lot of driftwood and ocean theme colors. You will notice this greenery scene that extends up the wall in the lobby. This is actually a self sustaining wall that adds to the feel and visual of the room. The glasswork hanging from the ceiling was sculpted for this resort specifically and adds a pop of character and color. There is not a resort in the world that looks like this one.. It’s one of a kind.

Before dinner, we were so thankful to enjoy a plate of hors d’oeuvres on our balcony. Yes, this was our view from the balcony, I was freaking out. We were so excited when we arrived that I forgot to take photos of the bedroom. I did post it on my Instastory if you are a regular of mine. 🙂 If you are, thank you by the way. You can see photos of the rooms on the website and they are identical to the pictures. Very serene and clean… the most important part. We slept soooo hard, which is unusual for us when we stay away from home. The beds swallowed us up and we slept like a baby.

Dinner Outfit

Friday night we were able to enjoy dinner at the Drift restaurant within the resort. I cannot even begin to explain to you the shock that my tastebuds went through while indulging in this phenomenal meal. We ate every bite of our meals and sent our BEST thanks and regards to the chef. If we lived nearby we would honestly stop by every weekend for a date night. I ordered the Northern Harvest Salmon, which consisted of Pan Seared, Capers, Heirloom Tomatoes, Fresh Herbs, Baby Spinach, Maine Lobster Sauce, Mushroom Risotto. The experience was fantastic. The overall feel and kind staff made the experience such a pleasure.

We were able to watch the sunrise from our bedroom/balcony both morning. There is something so humbling and refreshing about waking up next to the ocean. Going to bed and waking up to the sound of the ocean really strikes you and makes you realize how blessed you are. I can’t tell you how many times I said “I’m so blessed” on this trip. The beach is my favorite place in the entire world. I guess being a Florida girl will do that to you, so this was exactly what I needed to get 2018 started.

Breakfast Views

Saturday afternoon Chandler and I were able to mosey over to the Hutchinson Island Refuge House and witness a little bit of history about the island. History is Chandler’s favorite subject so this was right up his alley. This was only a few miles from the resort. This was a house that was set up to rescue shipwrecked sailers. It’s always a chilling feeling to stand in a spot that so many stood before you and shaped the history of that area.

Overall, we had the absolute best weekend! We talked about our trip the whole way home and couldn’t think of one negative thing to say about the entire weekend. We were hosted by an amazing staff at an exceptional resort, we ate our weight in fabulous food, we spent quality time together, and our souls were totally refreshed and replenished by the ocean. Can 2018 get any better? We just want to thank the Hutchinson Shores Resort & Spa for their hospitality and thoughtfulness during our stay. We will definitely be back and we 100% recommend this venue for vacation, weddings, conferences, etc. You won’t be disappointed.
