Olay is a brand that we all know and love and today I’m going to share you with you my 28 day journey of exchanging my normal eye cream and daily moisturizer for the Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15 and Olay Eye Deep Hydrating Eye Gel. Skin care is something I take very seriously. I want to do all that I can to keep my skin looking young and beautiful.  Almost a month ago I accepted the #Olay28Day Challenge.  The point of this challenge was to see if utilizing these steps would truly make a difference in my skin. I was pleasantly surprised to see changes happen within the first week. I’m not going to sit here and say I look 10 years younger after using these products (I’m only 22- is that even possible) but my skin started to look more hydrated and healthy almost immediately.  After all, hydrated skin is the key to the young glow.

Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15:

I LOVE this moisturizer. It is meant to be applied every morning and night after cleansing your face. This products has a vitamin rich formula that is meant to replenish the skin’s moisture barrier. There 7 benefits in this one bottle: smooths, even tones, brightens, refines pores, targets age spots, restores firmness, and moisturizes. The best part for me is that it’s oil free. Being someone who has oily skin this is something I have to look for when looking for skin care. I love that the Total Effects Moisturizer also has SPF 15. I have been told several times by my dermatologist that living in Florida, I should always be wearing some type of SPF.  We all know that an excessive amount of sun is very unhealthy for skin and will ultimately lead to an older appearance.  This product hydrates and protects from the sun… talk about anti-aging.

Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel

I will come right out and say that I am obsessed with the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel.  If your under eyes are feeling dry and dehydrated it will cause creasing under your lower lid. This can make you appear tired when you are actually full of energy.  Keeping your undereyes plump and full of hydration is the key to a wide eye look. I also apply this product every morning after washing my face. Hyaluronic acid formula instantly hydrates tired eyes for a wide-awake, refreshed look.  This moisturizer is perfect for the under eyes because of the gel formula.  I can only apply a gel around my eyes because a thick cream will often cause milia (small, raised, pearly-white or yellowish bumps on the skin).

Overall Thoughts

I went into this expecting the best results and that’s exactly what I got. I am typically skeptical when trying new skincare but these products were great with my sensitive skin and have given me a replenished look. This routine is so easy and effective.  Even if you have more oily skin you should be applying moisturizer daily to keep your skin balanced. I recommend these products to everyone of all skin types. These products are considered drugstore and work just as well as some high end skin care. Trust me, I’m glad I accepted this challenge. Now it’s mine turn to challenge you to take part in the #Olay28Day Challenge. See what it can do for your skin.
