Shop This Look:
Okay, this is one of my favorite looks of all time. I swear I say that all the time but this time I mean it more than the rest. 🙂 I’m totally smitten over this over sized Blazer from Everly Clothing. Since I’m so short I have to be careful of how I style this beautiful accessory piece. My goal was to pull off the men’s wear look but still show enough leg to keep it feminine and slimming / lengthening. This is why I decided to style it with a plain v-neck white tee and a black mini skirt. The white tee keeps the look casual and comfortable. I could totally wear this out to lunch, shopping, or any day time event. I didn’t go with OTK boots because of the whole lengthening aspect I talked about a second ago. These studded booties were the perfect edgy shoe to pair with this look. The boots are low cut, pointed toe, and laced with beautiful hardware. If I had to be one shoe in the world, it would be this pair. They speak to me. Can you tell I’m obsessed? 😉 The blazer is a little more pricey but the quality is amazing and you can absolutely style this piece so many ways. Every time I go shopping I have a rule for myself that I won’t buy a piece unless I can instantly think of 3 ways to wear it. I’ve made too many impulse buys and spent way too much money on items I’ve only worn once so this rule is a must now. I’ll tell you three ways to wear this, if that helps: Over a plain black sleeveless dress and pumps, ripped jeans, pumps, and a black tank, & how I’ve styled it. Give me a few and I can tell you about 5 more… Lol
I finished up all of my Christmas shopping this week and phew… I’m feeling good. I loveee shopping for gifts! It’s such a rush to have to sit and think about the person you are buying for and genuinely decided what would make them happy. It’s a beautiful part of a relationship. Now to wrap and bag everything this weekend. I’m the worst wrapper but I’ve it my mission to spend a lot of time on YouTube this weekend and finally master the gift wrapping challenge. What are you guys doing this Christmas weekend? I don’t dare go to any shopping centers this weekend. The last minute Christmas crowd is real and scary. Ahhhh, 4 days!!! I will check in with you guys soon.
